Born in Chalfont St. Giles, Buckinghamshire. Educated at Dr Challoners Grammar School, Amersham; degree at Newcastle Polytechnic, DMS at East Berks Management School and MBA at Lancaster University. Worked with British Airways for 17 years in a range of roles covering Operational Research, Information Technology, Marketing Finance, Strategy and most recently Corporate Jester. Developed an interest in creativity a few years ago when it became clear that the biggest single differentiator which BA has in the marketplace was the creativity of its people. He has written articles and instructional pamphlets.

Since leaving BA he spends much of his time giving creativity courses and facilitating creative thinking sessions. He is an associate of Creativity Unleashed Limited and runs his own consultancy, Sunfire Limited.
